Who does the work.

Everything a reasonable person should want to check before letting someone open a wall in their house — the license, the insurance, the people, and what happens when something goes wrong.

License and registration replace with your own

Washington State Department of Labor & Industries
Registration number ALDERPL000AA

Registered contractor. Verify the number with the issuing body before hiring anyone, including us. Check a contractor's registration.

Insurance

General liability coverage carried on every job. Bonded as required by Washington State.

Certificate available on request before any work starts.

The people replace with your own

Plumbing is done by a person, not by a brand. These are the people who will actually be in your house.

Marta Delgado — Owner, licensed plumber

19 years in the trade. Trained on commercial mechanical before moving to residential in 2009. Does most of the leak diagnostics, and would rather spend an hour finding the source than an afternoon opening the wrong wall.

Owen Brachett — Licensed plumber

11 years in the trade. Water heaters and repiping. Sized and installed most of the tankless systems on our books, and is the reason we will tell you when tankless is the wrong answer for your house.

Certifications and training replace with your own

Certifications are worth checking rather than taking on trust. Ask to see anything on this list and we will show you the current card.

If something we did is not right, we come back and put it right. Tell us before you tell the internet — not to head off a review, but because we would rather fix it.

Common questions

How do I check a plumber is really licensed?

Ask for the registration number and look it up with the issuing body yourself rather than taking a number on a van at face value. It takes a minute and it also tells you whether the coverage is current and whether there are complaints on record.

Should I ask to see insurance?

Yes, and before work starts rather than after something goes wrong. Any legitimate contractor will produce a certificate without being chased. If someone is reluctant, that is the answer.

What happens if something you did fails later?

Workmanship is guaranteed for twelve months and manufacturer warranties are passed through in full with the paperwork you need to claim on them. Call us first.
